You can open an account without a card (rechecked: 1 coin/message for non-subscribers; no free coins; other Ourdream pages say you get 55 coins at sign-up); the memory tools rank among the better ones in the category, and paying yearly brings the cost down to $9.99 a month. The weak link is video, which burns through coins and draws frequent complaints about clips that fail or wander off the prompt. Chat and image fans get good value; people paying mainly for video are likely to be disappointed.
Worth testing if: people who care about memory and long stories, character designers, budget planners
Skip it if: video is the draw for you, or you want to pay with crypto and keep refunds on the table
What the product is before you pay
Ourdream AI lives at ourdream.ai and works entirely in a web browser; there is no App Store or Google Play app, only a home-screen shortcut that the help centre walks you through. The idea is simple: you select a premade character or build one, then chat, exchange AI-made pictures, request brief video clips and, on paid plans, talk by voice call.
The current terms (August 2026) name one operator: Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware corporation. The platform went live around early 2025, after Candy AI, and has grown quickly; its homepage claims millions of users, which we were unable to check. Ourdream AI is for adults 18+ only.

Paywall notes
- Accepted payments. Card and crypto only, with PayPal not listed.
- Refunds are tight. Per third-party write-ups, use more than 25% of a product and the refund option is gone; crypto payments never qualify.
- Blurred media. Once a subscription lapses, previously generated images and videos are reportedly blurred until you resubscribe, so download whatever you want to keep.
- Cancelling. Subscriptions auto-renew; cancellation is done on the profile page.
- Real-world use. For chatting and the occasional picture, the plan covers most needs; 1,000 coins equals roughly 200 standard images if spent on nothing else. Calls are a different story: about 20 minutes uses the full monthly allowance. A 30-second video may cost around 600 coins, which means heavy video use almost guarantees extra purchases.
- Coin packs. Ourdream officially lists 1,000 coins at $11.99, 5,000 at $49.99 and 20,000 at $159.99. Buying them reportedly requires an active subscription.
- Best value. The annual plan works out at half the monthly price across a year. Commit to it only when you know you will keep using Ourdream; otherwise sample with coins first (1 coin/message without a plan, per the help centre).

What each feature costs
Voice features
Narration comes with a few free voices and premium ones that cost coins. Real-time voice calls are reported at around 50 coins per minute, with quality most often described as solid but not outstanding.
AI images
Expect roughly 10 coins for a pair of standard images and 5 coins for an image sent in chat, going by third-party summaries of Ourdream's cost guide. Reviewers report that faces look fairly consistent across generations.
Creating a companion
Design options include appearance, personality, scenario, example dialogue and voice, in either realistic or anime style. Public characters are checked manually before listing. If you want several characters in one conversation, group chats come with paid plans.
Memory
This is Ourdream's strongest area. An automatic memory log updates roughly every 20 AI messages, and a "pinned memories" field that you control reportedly expanded to 15,000 characters in 2026. Character consistency and long-term recall are the most repeated praise in public feedback. It is still a summary system rather than a full transcript, so small early details can fade unless you pin them.
Chat and stories
Unlimited messaging on the standard models comes with a subscription. The two "thinking" models, Genius and Lively Genius, charge one DreamCoin for each reply, unless you are on Deluxe, which includes them. Reviewers describe the output as coherent and adaptable to different scenarios, with one common complaint: long scenes can become flowery. The company has not said which model it uses; claims from third parties that it runs on DeepSeek remain unconfirmed.
Video clips
Clips are priced per second, reportedly 100 coins for every five seconds, plus surcharges for "ultra" quality and audio. This is where most complaints land, with reviewers and Trustpilot users describing failed generations and results that stray from the prompt.

Pass if… subscribe if…
Ideal users enjoy long, continuous stories with a single character, want to design a companion in detail and stick mostly to chat and still images. People who like seeing the price of each action before committing will appreciate it too.
Others should look elsewhere: video-first users, because that is where frustration and costs peak in user reports; anyone who needs a native mobile app; and anyone paying in crypto who wants the possibility of a refund.
Safety checks before you pay
- Privacy. Everything you chat and generate is stored on Ourdream's servers. Account deletion is permanent and removes chats, generations and unused coins over 24–48 hours, the help centre says. We found no public breach. Ourdream says chat messages go to third-party AI model providers to generate replies, and its privacy policy allows using your data to train its own AI models. Think "private, not anonymous": no real names, addresses or photos of real people.
- Rules. Adult users have mature content settings. Minors are banned in any mature-content context, and the rules also reject slurs and several other themes.
- Adults only. Ourdream AI is for users 18+, confirmed by an age gate that is mostly self-declared. In the UK and Australia, and wherever local law requires it, an outside provider (Go.cam or AgeVerif) runs an extra identity check.
- Costs. The mix of subscription and coins makes it easy to overspend, so set a budget before starting video or voice calls.
